Acoustic Foam Classes and
Fire Code Ratings:

 Please READ the following:

Class 1 (in accordance with ASTM E84) - Acoustic foam is a "Melamine" and is fire retardant and works great for public buildings and passes fire codes. If you need to pass a fire code, this is the foam to purchase.
"Melamine" Foams: tested for
ASTM E84 - Flamability - Passes

Class 2 (in accordance to ULH-94HF-1) Acoustic foam is a "Polyurethane" foam and is considered fire inhibitive, but not fire retardant.
"Polyurethane" Foams: NOT Tested for ASTM E84. So they do NOT meet this flamability code.
This foam is not recommended for public buildings where any fire codes will need to be meet.
This product is not suggest for situations where longevity of foam is needed as polyurethane foams will deteriorate over time depending on environmental exposures, and also the fire inhibitive properties will also deteriorate in approximately 3 to 5 years.
Poly Foam Test:
Tested to ASTM-D3574-01 Standards.
